Nervous system

With nice, gentle and comfortable movements the parasympathetic nervous system becomes calm and relaxed. In such a state we are the most receptive and able to learn.

Society

Society demands a lot from us, giving us certain labels. For example, the idea that it’s not appropriate for a woman to sit with their legs uncrossed, even when it’s known the healthiest way is with legs and feet shoulder width apart.

Culture

In different cultures there are different postures. Some sit with crossed legs, and some squat and work in this position. Others, meanwhile, mostly sit on very uncomfortable chairs.

Education

Already in early childhood a course has been decided for you, whether you will be an anxious child or a hell raiser who feels comfortable in their own body. Were you allowed to climb and be adventuresome or not?
