Within the Feldenkrais Method, individual lessons are called Functional Integration (FI).. The student lays on the table and is moved around by the teacher so they can fully concentrate on what is being done. These sessions are mostly nonverbal.
Groups lessons are called Awareness Through Movement (ATM).. Here, the students follow the instructions of the teacher, slowly and gently, to move in a certain way.
During these sessions there is a lot of resting time to process what is being experienced and the awareness that is being gained.
You only need to bring along your curiosity.
For both FI and ATM special clothes are not required, they just need to be comfortable.
“For learning to be real learning there has to be laughter. Learning without laughter is just learning effort, and you already know how to do that.” Moshe Feldenkrais
